When we consider the typical relationship between the dentist and the patient, we often find that fear of the dentist or of the treatment is a major obstacle. When we get right down to it, often times the fear is simply of the unknown. It is our goal and our obligation to help instruct our patients about the status of their teeth, their dental needs, and any optional treatment available in an attempt to alleviate such fear.
